Case Study:

Essendon Townhouses

What did Resi Body Corporate change in the first 6 months?

New gardener

The common garden areas were neglected when Resi Body Corporate was appointed as the new manager. We arranged for quotes from alternative caretakers, some who we trusted based on feedback from other similar properties.

Building defects

The townhouse owners were facing a defects notice that was issued by Moonee Valley City Council. When the townhouses were built the builder failed to complete the landscaping as per the building plans, and Council now required the landscaping to be completed according to the plans submitted.

The Resi manager was able to work with Council and make this a smooth and stress-free process for owners.

Why did the owners change strata managers?

Poor customer service

Owners were frustrated with the strata manager who was not responsive and very difficult to get a hold of. The manager never answered any calls or replied to any emails.

Owners felt like they were just ignored by the manager and it appeared as though the company simply didn’t care about the owners.

Annual general meetings held far from property

The location for the yearly meetings wasn’t easy to get to nor was it close to Essendon. As a result, no owners attended the annual meetings and had the opportunity to voice their concerns and suggest improvements around the property.

Owners felt like they were just ignored by the manager and it appeared as though the company simply didn’t care about the owners.
